Literature Text

The needs of the many, outweighs the needs of the one. A common preface, and a supposed logical answer to all situations. If a sacrifice is neccesary to save the massess, then it must be acted upon without doubt, without hesitation. But when the aftermath fades, and the world starts up once more, the motor forgets all about the one that was used to save them all. The one that was used as a lamb, marched up to death, without any kind of choice.

Does a human being not have a soul? Does it not need saving?

But sacrifice is the ultimate salvation.

Which is a lie. Sacrifice and involuntary death is two different things, yet entwines into one in the mind of the hero. In the mind of the leaders of today. When a bomb is dropped, fifty enemies will be killed. The four innocents is a price to pay for saving the rest of the world from the enemy's clutches.
But are you not just as bad as them if you don't feel remorse in killing someone for nothing? Someone that has lived, that has not been a burden to society. A good person? An innocent child? The enemy kills, regardless of military or civilian. Such it is a tragic story with a twisted end when people are killed because they happened to be near the enemy.

Are you not just as bad as the enemy if you feel it neccesary to end the lives of hundreds of innocent souls to destroy the enemy? Do you not feel the pain of those innocents? Of their next of kin, crying in their rooms for their lost family? Do you not feel the pain of the hundreds of men and woman who are left alone? Alone in a already dangerous world, made more dangerous by those who promised to save them?

Feel the shame, of widespread death. Protecting yourself is a selfish act, and brings forth greed, hate, malice. And it all stems down to the root of the problem. Love thy neighbour, or become one with evil. Kill without remorse and become death itself. Death waits for no one. Love saves those who suffers.

Become a steed of pride, not a martyr of other's sacrifices.

Holy crap dude. That was some hard writing there.

But you're totally right.
Sacrificing people for a 'grand' purpose is bogus.
You're just as bad as those you're trying to stop if it means sacrificing others to do so.

Hard writing, but still good non-the-less.

Good job. :D
